Prescription drug violation charges require tough representation

When you aren’t feeling well, you might decide that you need medication to help you feel better. In some cases, over-the-counter medication might work. When OTC medications don’t work, you might decide to turn to something stronger — prescription medications.

As we discussed in our previous blog post, prescription medication requires a valid doctor’s prescription that is filled at a licensed pharmacy. Without the valid doctor’s prescription and without filling that prescription at a licensed pharmacy, you might face criminal charges if you are caught with the medications that help you feel better.

We know that facing criminal charges for prescription drug violations is a difficult thought. You might be worried about how this will affect your criminal background check or how it will affect your employability. We understand your concerns and will help you to learn ways that you can address those concerns.

It is vital in all of these cases to have a defense strategy that takes all the elements of your case into account. We can go over your case to help you learn about what options you have for a defense strategy. Whether you are facing state or federal charges, we can help you to explore your options.

We can help you to ensure that your rights are protected throughout the process. We can also help you to determine if there is a possible plea negotiation that we can work out for you. If there isn’t or if you don’t want to go that route, we can help you to prepare your case for trial.
