Man facing 22 charges, another man sought on same charges
A 34-year-old man from Glen Burnie, Maryland, was arrested recently on 22 criminal counts. The charges were in relation to his alleged involvement in a shots fired call in Annapolis. Authorities are currently searching for a second suspect in the shootings as well.
According to police, the man who was arrested allegedly shot at a house and apartment, as well as seven vehicles. After the shootings, the Annapolis Police Department responded with a community meeting, more officers on patrol and additional cameras in the communities of Eastport Terrace and Harbour House.
Detectives reportedly had difficulty finding witnesses who would cooperate. The police chief commended the detectives for their dedication and hard work that led to the arrest warrants being issued.
In addition to the charges for first-degree assault and other alleged crimes, detectives also made an arrest for felony drug possession at the home where the other defendant reportedly lives. A 25-year-old man had around 9.4 grams of crack cocaine on his person and is currently being held on a bond of $50,000.
When facing such serious charges involving a weapon, it’s important that you secure legal representation as soon as possible. Your attorney will have a lot of questions for you as he or she tries to figure out the case and what the best defense may be for your specific circumstances.
Your attorney will review evidence and police reports, speak with witnesses and ensure that your Constitutional rights have not been violated. As your case moves to trial, your attorney will become your biggest advocate.
