Man accused of sexual assault in Maryland

Being charged with a criminal offense can absolutely ruin your friendships, family relationships and even your reputation in the community in which you live. Can you imagine being charged and keeping your job? That can be disheartening because the public has judged you as guilty before they even hear your story. When you go to trial, you will have your say. You need to be aware that there may be those who pre-judge you. Hopefully it isn’t the judge or the jury.

A man from Glen Burnie, Maryland, has been charged with a third charge of sexually assaulting and attacking a woman. Unfortunately for him, he is already in jail for allegedly doing the same thing to two other women. He is 52 years old.

He has been formally charged with first, second, third and fourth degree sex offenses; first and second degree assault, sodomy and the use of a dangerous weapon with the intent to injure someone. These are serious crimes that require a good criminal defense.

The best idea, when you or a loved one is charged, is to not say anything and ask for a lawyer. Once you have an attorney, he or she will be able to listen to your side of the story and help you with your options. You can talk to the authorities if your attorney thinks it will help. Listen to the guidance that this legal representative gives you. He or she has your best interests in mind.

One of the women who accused the 52-year-old man of allegedly assaulting her says that she was in her mobile home when the man supposedly entered, placed his hand over her mouth and threatened her with a knife. She states that he then sexually assaulted her.

Knowing what to do when you are charged with a crime is vital. Talking with someone who doesn’t judge what you are being charged with is invaluable.
