2 Arrested in Maryland Theft Case

Two women from Maryland were recently arrested after stealing clothes from multiple stores. The first theft occurred on November 9. Police officers were alerted to a theft at the Dick’s Sporting Goods located on W. Macphail Road in Bel Air. Police were given a description of two women who had stolen several clothing items from the store and then fled the scene in a silver Ford Fusion. A police officer searched the area and was able to locate the vehicle at the Harford Mall parking lot. One woman was located walking in the area and was apprehended by police.

Police later found out that the two women had committed a second theft — this time from Victoria’s Secret, located inside the Harford Mall. Police maintained surveillance on the Ford Fusion and were able to apprehend the second woman at the location. Law enforcement officials executed a search and seizure warrant on the Ford Fusion. As a result, police recovered more than $2,000 worth of stolen apparel and other merchandise. Both women were charged with theft and theft scheme crimes. One of the women had a warrant for her arrest after she was convicted of theft in Virginia.

The two women arrested for theft were a 24-year-old from Baltimore and a 25-year-old from Odenton. The 24-year-old was released on bond, while the other was held without bond.
