Woman overdoses, police arrest man who allegedly sold her drugs

A 45-year-old man in Glen Burnie, Maryland, has been arrested after police served a search warrant on his residence. The police seized several drugs, including prescription medication, and paraphernalia and cash.

The police learned that a woman who overdosed on heroin had been visiting the man just before the incident. According to a spokesman with the county police, it’s believed that the woman has bought heroin from the man. She was found by an officer sitting in a vehicle outside of the man’s house. The spokesman said that she had a faint heartbeat and a bluish complexion. Narcan was administered to the woman by emergency medical personnel and she regained consciousness. She was then transported to a hospital. She is not being charged with a crime.

Police allegedly seized 1.3 grams of heroin, 3.9 grams of crack, 2 Sublingual tablets and 13 suboxone strips. The latter is a drug that people use to get off of opiates when addicted. Cash in the amount of $180 was reportedly seized, as was packaging materials and a digital scale. The man had a warrant for his arrest, too, for first-degree burglary.

The man has been charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and heroin. His bond is $25,000 and he is currently in the Jennifer Road Detention Center.
