Vehicle search leads to 3 arrests for drugs, weapon

Recently, Glen Burnie police arrested three individuals after responding to a call about suspicious activity. Upon arriving at a parking lot on East Furnace Branch Road, police found three people inside a vehicle.

According to reports, police found probable cause to search the vehicle, although it was not reported as to what the probable cause was. During the search, a .45 caliber handgun was found in the car’s center console. The gun was loaded. Along with the weapon, police found about 5 grams of crack cocaine.

The oldest of the three men, who is 40, was from Baltimore. He was charged with weapons charges and drug possession. The other two, who are both 22, were charged with drug possession.

This type of case is not unusual; however, for those who have not been arrested before, it can completely send their world into upheaval. Drug charges can significantly affect your life, including your job, social standing and your family relationships.

It’s important to begin building your defense as soon as possible after an arrest on charges like these. In some cases, you may be eligible for drug court. Your attorney will know more about that possibility.

Everyone who is arrested and charged with a crime has a right to an impartial and fair trial. They also have the right to appeal a conviction. By striving to put together a strong, well-thought-out defense, you can increase your chances of a favorable outcome in your case. While every case will not end in a not guilty verdict, an attorney can provide information on how to mitigate the potential penalties.
