Four teens face charges for armed robbery of pizza place

Four teens are facing criminal charges for a host of charges after they allegedly robbed Pizza Boli’s in Annapolis. The group, which is made up of three 17 year-olds and one 18 year-old, face charges for weapons violations, armed robbery, and first-degree assault. Two of the defendants are from Glen Burnie.

The incident occurred at around 1 a.m. on May 20 when three of the teens went into the restaurant and ordered the employees to lie on the floor at gunpoint. They took the money from the cash register and an employee’s cellphone. The decision to take that cellphone ultimately led officers to the four teens.

The teens left the scene in a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier that belong to one of the male’s girlfriends. As they were driving the vehicle, the pizza place’s employee who had his phone stolen used the mobile tracking app to let 911 dispatchers know where the vehicle was.

Officers tried to initiate a traffic stop, but the four teens fled. They allegedly threw a handgun out of the vehicle during the chase. Eventually, the four teens fled the car and ran into a wooded area. Two of the teens were caught that night with $318 on them plus more cash on the ground. The other two teens were apprehended the next morning. The handgun that is thought to have been used at the pizza place robbery was also found.

Maryland residents facing criminal charges have the right to offer a defense against criminal charges. They should work to understand the charges, their options, and the possible sentences they face if they are found guilty of the charges.
