3 Arrested in Drug Investigation

Drug arrests often involve multiple drugs, as well as drug paraphernalia, guns and large amounts of money. This was recently the case in Maryland, when three people were arrested after a month-long investigation of drug crimes.

On June 10, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant for a home located in the 400 block of Lindenhurst Court in Salisbury. There were three adults and two children inside the home. The adults were identified as a 22-year-old man, a 23-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman.

Law enforcement officials searched the residence and found various drugs and other items. They include 46.12 grams of cocaine, 202 ecstasy pills in 15 baggies and 20 bags of marijuana weighing 21.36 pounds total. Police also recovered a Ruger semi-automatic handgun, six rounds of ammunition and paraphernalia such as digital scales and packaging material. There was also more than $33,000 in cash.

The 23-year-old man is a felon who legally cannot possess firearms. Also, the woman uses the home to sell controlled dangerous substances.

The 23-year-old man was arrested and charged with cocaine, marijuana and ecstasy possession, as well as intent to deliver these three drugs. He was also charged with firearm possession to commit a drug trafficking crime and possession of a firearm by a felon.

The 22-year-old man was charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, ecstasy and marijuana. The woman was charged with cocaine, marijuana and ecstasy possession, as well as intent to deliver these three drugs. She was also charged with firearm possession to commit a drug trafficking crime, as well as maintaining a common nuisance to sell controlled dangerous substances. All three are currently in jail without bond.

The guidelines include 50 pounds of marijuana, 28 grams of heroin, 50 grams of crack, 448 grams of cocaine, 16 ounces of PCP, 1,000 units of LSD and 448 grams of methamphetamines.
