2 men accused of theft from Maryland car dealership

Two men from Bel Air have recently been arrested under suspicion of stealing from a car dealership. Both Maryland suspects are accused of stealing various items rims, a tool chest and tires from the dealership. One individual faces addition firearm and drug charges. Both men face serious charges for their alleged theft crimes.

It is entirely unclear what led the officers to suspect these two men in the first place. However, the investigators claim that after the first man was arrested, stolen goods — cases of transmission fluid and motor oil valued around $750 — were found at two residences that were “associated” with him. It is not clear how he is supposedly associated with them. He is charged with second-degree burglary, theft between $1,000 and $10,000 and fourth-degree burglary.

The second man faces more charges than the first. He allegedly refused to cooperate with investigating officers, and he supposedly resisted arrest. Additionally, the investigators purportedly found 178 grams of marijuana, two firearms and a bulletproof vest in his residence. Reportedly, the second man is not allowed to possess firearms because of his past criminal history.

Perhaps the most troubling aspect of this theft case is why the officers targeted the two Maryland men in the first place. Particularly because of this uncertainty, it is crucial that each man arranges for a detailed analysis of their arrests and searches. If proper procedures were not followed or if their rights were violated during any point of the criminal process, it could significantly affect their cases.
