2 Maryland men face criminal charges for suspected robbery

Two men were recently arrested resulting from an incident that happened in the parking lot of a Ruby Tuesday in St. Mary’s county Maryland. Police suspect that the two men worked together to commit an armed robbery on the manager of the restaurant. Both Maryland men face serious criminal charges including robbery and assault.

According to the arrest report, the manager of the Ruby Tuesday was leaving the restaurant and walking to his car when two men in ski masks carrying firearms approached him. The two supposedly demanded the manager’s money and cellphone, and then they left the scene on foot. The manager called the police, and search and seizure warrants were made in two separate Maryland cities.

While police were executing these warrants, the two men, ages 24 and 23, were arrested. The report states that the suspects were identified, but details as to how this process occurred or what actually led police to suspect these men are not given in the report. Nevertheless, the two men were arrested without incident and charged with armed robbery, theft, assault and using a firearm while committing a felony.

The two Maryland men face very serious criminal charges that could yield a substantial prison sentence if convicted. However, if the case is indeed as lacking in evidence as the report seems to indicate, the men could potentially have their charges lessened, or their cases could even be fully dropped. Regardless, they would still benefit from exploring information related to the legal options in their cases in order to make what they feel to be the best decisions as the criminal proceedings move forward.
