Hurlock man and teen face attempted murder charges in shooting

A 21-year-old man from Hurlock and his 17-year-old teenage companion are facing multiple charges in an attempted first-degree murder after allegedly shooting an 18-year-old teenager from Greensboro. The charges against the pair include attempted first-degree murder, reckless endangerment, first-degree assault and second-degree assault.

The charges against the two stemmed from an incident that occurred on Wednesday, June 24 after police responded to a reported shooting at a residence located on Hill Road in Greensboro. Upon their arrival, police found the Greensboro teenager inside the residence where he was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the torso. The man was transported to Kent General Hospital located in Dover, Delaware, where he received medical treatment for his injuries.

According to authorities, the teenager and witnesses at the scene reportedly identified the two men as the ones responsible for the shooting. They were later arrested without incident at their homes in Hurlock on Wednesday night and early into Thursday morning. The 21-year-old is currently being held at the Caroline County detention center without bond. The 18-year-old teenager was ordered by the court to be held on a $250,000 bond. Police report that they have reason to believe that the three men knew each other and that they are continuing to investigate the shooting.

Individuals who are facing attempted murder charges may face a lengthy prison sentence if they are convicted for their crimes. They may find it beneficial to learn more about their valuable legal rights by learning about these rights as they pertain to their own personal case.
